Portland Schools Seeing Declining Enrollment Due To COVID Measures.

Portland’s reputation for violence, homelessness, drug use, and riots has hampered the city’s rehabilitation nearly two years after the pandemic began. Portland Public Schools is now suffering an 8% drop in enrollment as well.

According to official data, enrollment in Portland Public Schools (PPS), the state’s largest district, has decreased by over 7,000 pupils, or 8%, in the last two years.

While statewide enrollment has decreased by 1.41 percent, PPS has lost 3.84 percent of its pupils in the same time period.

PPS deputy superintendents Claire Hertz and Cheryl Proctor blame the drop on “dwindling birth rates, enrollment trends, school reconfiguration, and choices families made during the pandemic,” according to a statement to staff.

During the pandemic, Oregon’s encouragement of homeschooling may have played a role.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the number of students enrolled in homeschooling more than doubled between spring 2019 and fall 2020. In the same time period, homeschooling enrollment climbed by 73 percent in Oregon.

Ashley Darcy’s final straw was a tense Molalla School Board meeting last fall concerning COVID-19 protocols.

Darcy told The Epoch Times, “My husband and I walked out of that meeting and we were done.” “We will not vaccinate and disguise our children, stunting their development.” We will not give power to teachers who intimidate pupils into complying with mandates.”

Darcy was particularly concerned that school mask regulations might affect her youngest kid, a first-grader.

She stated, “He has a speech problem and is a lip reader.” “He must be able to see his teacher’s mouth in order to observe pronunciation.” Masking doesn’t work for us in school.”

As a result, the Darcys withdrew their three elementary school-aged children from public school.

Amy Schaffer Wieseler, a teacher, understands the decision.

She told The Epoch Times, “I don’t know how kids learn anything in the current school atmosphere.” “We spend so much time in the corridor lining up youngsters, washing their hands, and keeping them six feet apart. It’s absurd how much time public schools devote to keeping healthy kids healthy.”

Oregon has stated that the state’s indoor mask rule will be lifted on March 31, but that local school districts will be able to continue to enforce it. The Oregon Health Authority and the Oregon Department of Education have not stated if the other COVID-19 protocols will be maintained.

Meanwhile, it’s unclear how PPS will be affected financially as a result of so many kids departing. In the coming year, cuts to state education funding may become more visible. For the time being, though, Portland Public School officials appear unconcerned.

The district claims that federal COVID-19 relief funds and Student Investment Account funding—which come from Oregon’s divisive Corporate Activity Tax revenue—will keep staffing levels stable.

PPS Superintendent Guadalupe Guerra said, “Fortunately, those funds will preserve our commitment to addressing essential staffing needs.”

Officials plan to hire more art teachers with funding from the Portland Arts Tax.

“Persistent pandemic repercussions, a worsening affordability problem, and reputational challenges continue to stymie the region’s growth and overall prosperity,” according to a Portland Business Alliance State of the Economy study released on Feb. 16.

The research notably raises concerns about the city’s downtown, noting that foot traffic has decreased by more than 70% in the last two years and that the number of individuals working downtown has decreased by two-thirds. Furthermore, the local job market is trailing behind the national average, with Portland growing at 2.1 percent versus 2.8 percent nationally.

Portland’s high tax loads and lower median household incomes, according to the report, are also contributing to an affordability dilemma for residents.

Last autumn, Travel Portland produced a dismal research, which was followed by the alliance report.

“With the exception of Minneapolis and San Francisco, our central city occupancy in September fell behind every competing city that we measure,” Jeff Miller, president and CEO of Travel Portland, told the Portland City Council during a meeting in October. “Recovery is taking place elsewhere; it just isn’t happening here.”

Two-thirds of respondents in a survey commissioned by Travel Portland said racial and social justice protests make them less likely to visit Portland in the next two years.

The city’s situation is critical.

The data has never indicated that children are at risk of infection or severe illness from COVID-19 throughout this entire plandemic. To vaccinate these children is a whole other level of deranged, as the data has never suggested that these children require such inoculations. Medical examiners discovered that cardiac inflammation was the principal cause of death in two boys who died shortly after receiving Pfizer’s COVID-19 vaccination.

Both boys were discovered dead in their beds, one three days after receiving the second dosage of Pfizer’s vaccination and the other four days later. Both were declared dead after no attempts at resuscitation were made.

Neither boy was given a name, and the dates of their deaths were not disclosed. The one who died first was dubbed Boy A, and the other was dubbed Boy B.

After immunization, Boy A complained of a headache and gastrointestinal issues, but said his symptoms were improving before he died. He hadn’t had any previous medical issues. Boy B didn’t have any symptoms and had no previous health problems. Neither of them had any visible signs of heart disease. Neither had previously had COVID-19, and neither had the condition when tested postmortem. Medication and abuse-related drugs were also found to be negative in forensic toxicological testing.

The death of muscle cells, known as myocytes, is a feature of typical myocarditis. Medical examiners discovered aberrant signs in the boys, such as hypereosinophilic myocytes, or heart muscle cells that are filled with white blood cells.

“This injury pattern is instead similar to what is seen in the myocardium of patients with Takotsubo, toxic, or ‘stress’ cardiomyopathy, which is a temporary myocardial injury that can develop in patients with extreme physical, chemical, or sometimes emotional stressors,” the medical examiners wrote in a study published recently in Archives of Pathology & Laboratory Medicine.

The cardiac abnormalities in the boys were thought to be caused by adrenaline influencing heart cells called cardiomyocytes, resulting in “an abnormally exuberant immunological response” and heart inflammation, similar to the development of difficulties seen in some COVID-19 or multisystem inflammatory syndrome patients.

While the medical examiners aren’t sure what happened, they say all indicators point to myocardial injury as the “primary factor” in the fatalities, and they urge doctors to be mindful that post-vaccine heart problems aren’t the same as ordinary myocarditis.

The findings “unfortunately confirm lethal COVID-19 vaccine-induced myocarditis,” according to Dr. Peter McCullough, a cardiologist in Texas who was not involved in the study.

In an email to The Epoch Times, McCullough said, “The histopathology indicates a novel form of myocarditis that may be exclusive to the mRNA vaccines, showing the Spike protein affects pericytes that surround capillaries and cardiomyocytes.”

“With over 200 papers on the topic in the preprint and published literature, and now formal evaluation and management guidelines issued in the United Kingdom, COVID-19 vaccine-induced myocarditis has become an expected new disease category for young cardiac patients presenting to emergency departments and medical offices,” he added.

The study’s leader, Dr. James Gill, the chief medical examiner of Connecticut, did not reply to calls for comment. Pfizer did not respond to a request for comment.

According to US health regulators, myocarditis has occurred in a higher-than-expected number of young boys and some young females after receiving the Pfizer or Moderna COVID-19 vaccines. The problem is most noticeable after the second dosage of either vaccination, which is advised as part of a two-dose main series.

Dr. Tom Shimabukuro, a member of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) vaccine safety team, told the CDC’s advisory panel that out of 13 reports of deaths with myocarditis following primary series of Pfizer’s or Moderna’s vaccines submitted through mid-January, two were ruled out because adequate information was not available, such as a lack of autopsy, and three were determined not to be cases of myocarditis.

The CDC detected “possible infectious causes” in five of the instances, suggesting they won’t be ruled post-vaccination myocarditis fatalities, according to Shumabukuro. The two others are currently being looked into.

Dr. Robert Malone (inventor of MRNA technology) has spoken out once again against the dangerous COVID-19 inoculations. Malone goes on to explain the spike proteins induced by the vaccine could do permanent damage to a child’s brain, nervous system, heart and blood vessels, their reproductive system and their immune system.

“The most alarming point about this is that once these damages have occurred, they are irreparable,” Malone warns, adding that “This vaccine can cause reproductive damage that could affect future generations of your family.”

Furthermore, Malone points out the mRNA jabs have not undergone significant testing, so long-term risks and complications that could turn up later down the road haven’t been properly assessed.

“Ask yourself if you want your own child to be part of the most radical medical experiment in human history,” Malone says.

Lastly, Malone says the premise that children need to be given the vaccine is faulty and that their immunity “after getting Covid” is crucial so the human immune system can adapt to the disease.

“In summary: there is no benefit for your children or your family to be vaccinating your children against the small risks of the virus, given the known health risks of the vaccine that as a parent, you and your children may have to live with for the rest of their lives.”

Dr. Malone concludes by urging parents and grandparents to “resist and fight to protect your children.”
