Jesus said, “What comes out of a person is what defiles them. For it is from within, out of a person’s heart, those evil thoughts come—sexual immorality, theft, murder, adultery, greed, malice, deceit, lewdness, envy, slander, arrogance and folly. All these evils come from inside and defile a person” (Mark 7:20–23).
“Antifa Employs Violence to Coerce Americans into Silence” and So— Far It’s Working
“Antifa is Arming Themselves”
Certain Antifa affiliated groups listed in the articles have been arming themselves for years such as the John Brown Gun Club/Red Neck Revolt (JBGC). Although this group does not identify as an Antifa organization, they do share similar goals. For example, the majority of their members are socialist or communist.
The Anarchist activist, Dave Strano, founded the John Brown Gun Club in Lawrence, Kansas in 2004. The group takes its name from a 19th-century American abolitionist. John Brown advocated the use of armed rebellion to end slavery. He led a raid on the federal armory at what is now Harpers Ferry, WV.
Has Antifa started to arm themselves with guns en-masse to push back against what they see as a rise in “right-wing” militia groups? Some magazines articles have been pushing that narrative, but we need to separate fact from fiction. It turns out some progressive news outlets might have their wishful facts all wrong.
He counted on local slaves rising up and joining his rebellion. Only a few local slaves joined the uprising, and the raid failed with seven people being killed in the fighting. Local farmers, militiamen, and US Marines led by Robert E. Lee Captured Brown. The Commonwealth of Virginia tried him for treason. The court found Brown guilty, and he was hanged.
The John Brown Gun Club’s first armed protest was against the Minute Man Project in 2005. The Minute Man Project goal was to secure the U.S. border with Mexico. In 2009 Red Neck Revolt formed as an offshoot of the John Brown Gun Club to counter the rise of the Tea Party movement.
After being dormant for several years the groups reorganized in the of 2016 in response to the campaign of then-candidate Donald Trump for President. They have held several protests while open carrying AR-15s and AKM rifles.
One thing that separates these groups from Antifa is even though these groups are heavily armed; they do not resort to violence. The JBGC has also had a sit down with a Three Percent group where they asserted even though their ideas are aligned with Antifa that they would only use force in self-defense.
The Huey Percy Newton Gun Club (HPNGC) is another Antifa allied armed group. The group takes its name from Huey P. Newton. Newton was a co-founder of the Black Panthers in the 1960s. The group was founded in Dallas, Texas in 2013.
The HPNGC insist they are not and never have been a part of The Black Panther Party. The group shares a lot of Antifa’s political beliefs and have been a part of Antifa protest, but they have not resorted to violence. The communist group wants to spread awareness of the First and Second Amendment throughout the inner city. Their support for the First Amendment is directly at odds with the beliefs of Antifa.
The Socialist Rifle Association (S.R.A.) is another group listed in a lot of the articles. S.R.A. is an anti-capitalist group but also is not an Antifa group. The S.R.A. goal is to spread the power of the Second Amendment to those on the left that might otherwise be scared off by right-wing groups.
A lot of articles list the Liberal Gun Club as an Antifa group. The group is not an Antifa group at all. The group is a non-profit that teaches left of center Americans about gun rights and safe gun handling. The group does not attend protests and does not share most of Antifa’s ideology.
What is most curious about these articles is the inclusion of Pink Pistols. Pink Pistol is an LGBTQ+ gun-rights group. They are not partisan. Some members of Pink Pistols are strict conservatives. The group has worked with the N.R.A., appeared on AmmoLand News, and worked alongside other right-leaning groups. It is almost like some of the writers Googled “LGBT Gun Groups” and used the first result that popped up.
So, is Antifa arming themselves?
In a December F.B.I. Document an informant told the F.B.I. that Antifa was trying to buy guns from Mexican Cartels. Specific news sites printed the story as proven fact, but looking into the account, it gets a little murkier.
The F.B.I. based its report on a single informant’s information. The F.B.I. opened an investigation and found very little corroborating evidence. No arrest was made, and no warning was sent out to local law enforcement or FFL dealers as ATF will do. It seems like the information was bad.
Guns usually flow from the U.S. to Mexico. It would make little sense for Antifa to try to smuggle arms into the country when it would be easier, safer, and legal to acquire them stateside. Most people in law enforcement would agree with my assessment.
There is no doubt that some Antifa members are acquiring firearms, but AmmoLand News cannot find a substantial concerted effort to obtain them to use in their violent protests such as the protest in Portland that seems to be mentioned in all the articles.
The threat of an armed Antifa is terrifying. The group has shown it is willing to use violence to accomplish their goals, and that is why these articles push the narrative of Antifa acquiring firearms. The coming “second civil war” sells. They get clicks and shares, and in the end that adds up to dollars for fake news outlets. Source
There have been several OP-EDs from people in the media calling for Antifa to arm themselves with firearms, but as of now, that hasn’t happened. If it does happen, AmmoLand will report it. While we are no fans of the misguided Antifa movement, the truth is more important than clicks.
Two U.S. senators have introduced a resolution calling for Antifa activists to be designated as domestic terrorists, singling out violent protests in Portland and a local branch of the anti-fascist movement in particular.
The resolution cited an attack on conservative writer Andy Ngo during the June 29 rallies that brought supporters of an area #HimToo group, Proud Boys and Antifa-affiliated protesters to the city’s core as well as a 2018 camp-in at the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement office in Southwest Portland.
A video of the attack on Ngo shows people dressed in black, some with their faces covered, punching Ngo, kicking and spraying him and throwing things at him. Police arrested three people at the protests that day on various allegations, including assault and harassment, though none specifically for the Ngo confrontation.
“Antifa is a terrorist organization composed of hateful, intolerant radicals who pursue their extreme agenda through aggressive violence,” Cruz said in a statement. “Time and time again their actions have demonstrated that their central purpose is to inflict harm on those who oppose their views.”

The resolution is meant to express a nonbinding position of the Senate and would not make any changes to the U.S. legal code. The Justice Department does not officially designate domestic terrorist organizations in the same way that it does for foreign groups, according to department spokesperson Anela Mangum.
Antifa, a shortening of anti-fascist, is a militant leftist movement that rose to greater prominence after Donald Trump’s election in response to the public ascent of white nationalism.
Antifa isn’t a single organization, instead of operating loosely in various cities without central leadership, and using disruption and sometimes violent tactics to carry out its stated agenda against hate, homophobia, and anti-Semitism. Antifa protesters are known to wear black and mask their faces.
Rose City Antifa, Portland’s oldest and most well-known antifascist group, last month posted a call for supporters to counter the Proud Boys gathering, writing: “If we don’t show up, won’t they just go home disappointed?”
The Senate resolution declares that Rose City Antifa “explicitly rejects the authority of law enforcement officers in the United States, and Federal, State, and local governments, to protect free speech and stop acts of violence.”
Rose City Antifa didn’t immediately respond Friday to a request for a response.
Antifa protesters have been at the center of violent clashes with right-wing activists around the country. In 2017, for instance, about 100 masked people including anarchists and Antifa members pepper-sprayed and chased peaceful right-wing marchers in Berkeley, Calif. Around the same time, Antifa physically confronted white nationalists at the deadly Unite the Right rally in Charlottesville, Va., when a man who had expressed racist, anti-Semitic beliefs drove into a crowd of left-wing protesters, killing one person. On numerous occasions, black-clad demonstrators have thrown rocks and other objects at police.
The Anti-Defamation League, a nonprofit organization that tracks anti-Semitism in the U.S., says the Antifa label is often misapplied to include all counterprotesters, rather than just those who seek out physical confrontations with the groups they’re protesting.
“Their presence at a protest is intended to intimidate and dissuade racists, but the use of violent measures by some Antifa against their adversaries can create a vicious, self-defeating cycle of attacks, counter-attacks, and blame,” the organization says on its website.
At the same time, the Anti-Defamation League said white supremacists have committed far greater acts of violence. In 2018, domestic extremists – the “great majority” of whom were white supremacists – killed at least 50 people in the U.S., the organization reported. Among them was Robert Bowers, accused of gunning down 11 people and injuring seven in and around the Tree of Life Synagogue in Pittsburgh.
The resolution introduced by Cruz and Cassidy also calls on “the Federal Government to redouble its efforts, using all available and appropriate tools, to combat the spread of all forms of domestic terrorism, including White supremacist terrorism.”
While domestic terrorism isn’t a specific crime under U.S. law, federal law enforcement agencies have broader powers to investigate people defined as domestic terrorists for violations of other laws. The Patriot Act defines domestic terrorism as criminal activity that appears intended to “intimidate or coerce” civilians or influence government policy using violent methods.
Unlike foreign terrorist organizations, the federal government doesn’t maintain an official public list of domestic terrorist groups. But the FBI reported earlier this year that it’s investigating 850 cases of potential domestic terrorism following high-profile attacks against synagogues and churches carried out by avowed white supremacists.
Multiple news outlets have reported that the Department of Homeland Security formally classified Antifa activities as “domestic terrorist violence” in 2016, citing confidential documents.
But calls for a public designation intensified this year after the June 29 Portland clashes, leading to multiple petitions circling around the internet. Cruz at the time took to Twitter to call for federal agents to “investigate & bring legal action” against Portland Mayor Ted Wheeler for seemingly letting the attacks happen.
To federal law enforcement: investigate & bring legal action against a Mayor who has, for political reasons, ordered his police officers to let citizens be attacked by domestic terrorists. https://tinyurl.com/y2udrv5d https://twitter.com/tedcruz/status/1145212511966441473 …Portland Mayor Ted Wheeler Under Fire for Not Stopping Antifa ProtestsWheeler’s hands-off policy when it comes to Antifa came under scrutiny on Saturday after journalist Ngo was assaulted by masked assailants.breitbart.com Cruz✔@tedcruzTo law enforcement: find & prosecute these violent felons. https://twitter.com/tedcruz/status/1145212299914952704 …39.2K1:10 AM – Jun 30, 2019Twitter Ads info and privacy18.8K people are talking about this
Wheeler has condemned the violence but has so far been stymied in policy attempts to prevent similar brawls, including an unsuccessful proposal to give the mayor broad powers to restrict protests. He hasn’t commented on two recent proposals by Portland Police Chief Danielle Outlaw, who has suggested barring people from wearing masks during protests and allowing officers to videotape demonstrations.

Jesus chastised religious leaders in the first century for not knowing the time of His arrival. Will we make the same mistake today? Christ stated how His second coming would be preceded by global events signifying the end of our age. We may not know the day or the hour, but we can know the season!
“And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions.” (Joel 2:28.)
John Wesley who said that what we tolerate in our generation, will be embraced by the next. Wesley is 100% correct! We are living in sick times.
Usually, the Lord doth no great thing for or against his people, without giving warning of it before it comes.
They perverted justice among themselves (v. 7): “You turn judgment to wormwood, that is, you make your administrations of justice bitter and nauseous, and highly displeasing both to God and man.’’ That fruit has become a weed, a weed in the garden; as nothing is more venerable, nothing more valuable, than justice duly administered, so nothing is more hurtful, nothing more abominable, than designedly doing wrong under color and pretense of doing right. Corruptio optimi est pessima —The best, when corrupted, becomes the worst.
It is impossible to find anyone in the Bible who was a power for God who did not have enemies and was not hated.
2 Corinthians 4:8-11 New King James Version (NKJV)
8 We are hard-pressed on every side, yet not crushed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; 9 persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed— 10 always carrying about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our body. 11 For we who live are always delivered to death for Jesus’ sake, that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our mortal flesh.
