When a believer in original sin and sin nature comes to a point in scripture that does not fit in their theology they just make something up they hope will satisfy the listener to explain the inconsistency.
For example, I bet you have wondered how Lucifer could be Satan when the name Lucifer is used only once in the Bible in Isaiah14:12. And then only to say he was a man.
Also I have wondered if the sin nature doctrine is true how Jesus could not have a sin nature when Mary had one. I know I have. To explain this inconsistency they just make something up. And this made up sin nature doctrine is our focus today.
Roman Catholics determined that Mary received a special grace from God as Jesus’ mother that made her sinless and without a sin nature. They know there is no scriptural foundation for such a belief. But, that doesn’t matter to them.
What’s important is that the matter is explained so that they can continue in their delusion. And having never come to a love for the truth it is nothing to them to make up what is needed to be able to do so.
Then there is the so called Protestants, called this because they protested some of the traditions of the RCC, without accomplishing a complete break from her where it really counted, that in dealing with the same question just make something up. Claiming that the sin nature only passes to the child from the father. So that because Jesus’ father was God He would not have a sin nature.
Again, it doesn’t matter to them that there is no scriptural basis for this. Or for the sin nature doctrine itself. It only matters that the delusion is preserved. Having never come to a love for the truth they are satisfied with anything that will accomplish this for them.
The fact is, as I have shown repeatedly in the messages I share here, that there is no scriptural basis for the belief that men are all born with a sin nature. So their having to make something up to insure Jesus would not have one, is as unnecessary as the sin nature doctrine itself, that created the need to make something up.
If they could see this the delusion would go away. But, that would require them to rethink and discard pretty much everything they have come to believe is true. And most people are just not willing to admit to being that deceived. And because of this would rather continue down the road of deception and delusion.
The problem with that is that it plays right into the hands of the antichrist. The man of sin that Paul speaks of in 2Thes.2 saying, “For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way.
8 And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming:
9 Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,
10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:
12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.”
Here in vs.7 Paul confirms what John said in 1John4:3, that this spirit of antichrist was already in the world. And that there was something that held back the evil it will bring when what is holding back his evil is taken out of the way.
I believe that this is a reference to God’s people being removed from the earth in what many refer to as the pre tribulation rapture. What 1Thes.4:17 calls the “caught up” as we meet Jesus in the clouds when He comes to take us home. So that evil will no longer have us who restrain it to deal with. Made completely free to do its worst in the earth.
Because it is us who have believed the truth that holds back evil every time we preach the gospel and someone turns to faith in Jesus. We who are filled with the Spirit of God as the ministers of reconciliation are the restraining force in the world.
This also fulfills what Jesus said to Peter when speaking of the rock of revelation he had that Jesus is the Son of the living God. Here Jesus said, “upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.” So the revelation that Jesus is our savior and Lord is that rock the gates of hell shall not prevail against.
But, for this to be true God’s called out ones need to be gone during the reign of antichrist. This man of sin Paul speaks of in 2Thes.2. Because in Rev.13:7 John says, “it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations.”
This is why Paul tells us in 2Thes.2 that when the man of sin comes, and not just the spirit of antichrist that has been in the world since the days of the apostles, those who have already been deceived by his spirit will fall to his “power and signs and lying wonders.” Because of “the deceivableness of unrighteousness” that is already “in them that perish”.
This is why I am so adamant about getting this message out. Because the time is quickly coming upon the world when this man of sin will be revealed. Which means it is that much sooner that God’s people who are the ministers of reconciliation. A reconciliation that “holds back” the reign of the man of sin. Will be taken to be with Jesus. And the great tribulation begins.
And the doctrine that has given rise to the spirit of antichrist is that which denies that Jesus has come in the same flesh all men have. A claim specifically made by the church who teaches the doctrine of necessity passed down from Augustine to the Roman Catholic Church. And through his disciples Martin Luther and John Calvin to her daughters the evangelical Protestants.
Because it is the belief in necessity, what most know today as sin nature, that denies that Jesus could come in the same flesh all men have. Because they say if He did then He too would be a sinner by nature.
But, it doesn’t have to be this way. There is a Biblical alternative to this spirit of antichrist doctrine. It is the truth we find in the Bible. A truth that says that it is because all men are natural and not spiritual that Jesus had to come.
Because being natural we are just as Adam was when God made him. And in 1Cor.2:14 Paul teaches that natural men, men just like Adam was when God made him, can not perceive the things of the spirit. Because those things can only be discerned by the spirit.
This is why Jesus said in John3:1-8 “Marvel not that I said unto thee, ye must be born again.” Saying that what is born of the flesh, that is what is born of water, must also be born of the Spirit. This is also why Paul said in 1Cor.15:50 that “flesh and blood can not inherit the kingdom of God.”
So if they would just believe the plain teaching in the Bible they would not have to resort to just making something up. The way they must since being taken captive by the devil at his will as Paul says in 2Tim.2:25,26.
Speaking of morality rather than relationship as they so often do. As if this is the fruit that shows whether a person truly believes in Jesus or not. When love for God and one another, and the perceiving of spiritual things, is that fruit according to Paul’s teaching in Rom.8:16.
By rejecting and never coming to a love for the truth as Paul said it would be of those who will be damned through the strong delusion. And instead accepting the lie that sin was imputed before the law was given to Moses. As Rom.5:13 plainly says is not the case. And the lie that sin is passed through procreation by inheritance to succeeding generations. As Rom.5:14 shows is not the case either.
Rather, to be made a spiritual being that can perceive the things of the Spirit of God we must trust as Paul says Abraham did. Believing God for righteousness apart from works. So that we confess with our mouth the Lord Jesus. And believe in our hearts that He has raised from the dead.
By this we are made children of God and heirs to His kingdom. By this we have eternal life now. And immortality in the resurrection. By this we can know that we are sons of God. By this there will be no need to just make something up to plug the inevitable holes in our beliefs about God, and about Jesus, and about the atonement, if we believe their spirit of antichrist doctrines. By this we are born again and given a spirit through which we communicate with the Spirit ofGod.
