The Los Angeles Dodgers will honor and celebrate an anti-Christian hate group that once mocked Christ crucified on a cross. Watch the video below after the ad and be warned that it is extremely graphic.
Earlier this month, the Dodgers announced that they’d “honor” the local chapter of the hard-left, anti-Catholic hate group known as The Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence with their annual Community Hero Award. These vile “Sisters” purport to be nuns and take on names such as Sister T’aint A Virgin, Sister Porn Again, and Sister Holly Lewya. The award was to be presented sometime in June, the calendar month that has been hijacked by the Rainbow Mafia as “Pride Month.”
Sanity, though, seemed to prevail, as the outrage grew and the Dodgers rescinded their invitation via Twitter: “We are now aware that our inclusion of one group in particular – The Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence – in this year’s Pride Night has been the source of some controversy. Given the strong feelings of people who have been offended by the sisters’ inclusion in our evening, and in an effort not to distract from the great benefits that we have seen over the years of Pride Night, we are deciding to remove them from this year’s group of honorees.”
All’s well, right? Wrong. Sadly, pathetically, after having gotten an earful from some outsized leftist pressure groups, the team flip-flopped on Monday: “After much thoughtful feedback from our diverse communities, honest conversations within the Los Angeles Dodgers organization and generous discussions with the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence, the Los Angeles Dodgers would like to offer our sincerest apologies to the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence, members of the LGBTQ+ community and their friends and families.”
One wonders what Jackie Robinson would think if he knew that his quiet, dignified, noble fight to break baseball’s color barrier 76 years ago would lead to this grotesque misappropriation.
“Super curious what devout Catholics on your team think of this,” said one Matt Whitlock. “Did you explain to Julio Urias that you just had to invite the group that openly and grotesquely mocks his faith because liberal interest groups like the ACLU got mad at you?”
The Archdiocese of Los Angeles also weighed in to denounce the twisted Sisters’ blasphemy with a statement that read, in part:
The decision to honor a group that clearly mocks the Catholic faith and makes light of the sincere and holy vocations of our women religious who are an integral part of our Church is what has caused disappointment, concern, anger, and dismay from our Catholic community. The ministries and vocations of our religious women should be honored and celebrated through genuine acts of appreciation, reverence, and respect for their sacred vows, and for all the good works of our nuns and sisters in service of the mission of the Catholic Church. From providing a quality education for inner city students, to serving the sick, the homeless, the hungry and so many others in need, to caring for the souls of our faithful through prayer, our women religious have dedicated their lives to the Catholic faith and mission, sharing God’s loving grace with others. The Archdiocese stands against any actions that would disparage and diminish our Christian faith and those who dedicate their lives to Christ.
National Review’s Dan McLaughlin happens to be the nephew of Vin Scully, the iconic “Voice of the Dodgers” for more than six decades and a devout Catholic until his death last August. Said McLaughlin Monday night: “I cannot overstate what a betrayal it is for the Dodgers, of all organizations, to give a home to an anti-Catholic hate group.”
Here, the Dodgers would do well to be mindful of their audience and their fan base. Los Angeles, after all, is 40% Hispanic, and 43% of that group identify as Catholics.
The folks at PragerU have seen and heard enough, and they’ve organized accordingly. If you’re inclined, you can add your name to their open letter, which reads: “We want to watch baseball with our families. We don’t want to see anti-Catholic drag queens honored at Dodger Stadium. America’s pastime should unite and entertain people of all ages, not divide us. Keep radical agendas out of our sports.”
Let’s hope Dodgers fans give their team the Bud Light treatment.
It’s possible, though, that the team has already begun to feel the heat. As the irrepressible Babylon Bee quips, the Bums have summoned Satan himself to throw out the first pitch on Pride Night.

God’s desire is that all people repent and be saved (2 Peter 3:9). At the same time, Satan, the “father of lies” (John 8:44), deceives the very people (LGBTQ-Trans People) who need to accept the truth. “The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers so that they cannot see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ” (2 Corinthians 4:4). Surely, God could stop Satan’s lies and give people a fighting chance.
Wishful Thinking Will Not Change What God Has Spoken As Sin!
The Bible presents a consistent picture of how sin and deception are related. What’s revealed is that the way we tend to think of deceit is, well, a bit deceived. Spiritually speaking, deception is deeper than merely being tricked or lied to. In order to be saved, one does not need any particular level of intelligence, philosophical ability, or wisdom (Galatians 3:28; 1 Corinthians 1:20, 26). In fact, mankind has an unfortunate habit of using increased knowledge to develop more sophisticated ways ( born that way) to sin.
The key to understanding spiritual deception is the fact that we often choose what we want to believe ( homosexuality is acceptable) rather than what we should believe (homosexuality is a sin), even in the face of the evidence (Luke 16:31). “Even after Jesus had done all these miraculous signs in their presence, they still would not believe in him” (John 12:37). Notice that they would not believe Jesus, despite the miracles. Their unbelief was willful, the LGBTQ are under the same delusion, God will permit them to destroy themselves, so far they are doing an excellent job, and they are willfully misleading hundreds and thousands of children into moral decay, and the world cheers them on, the Christian knows the world has always been wrong.

It is man’s choice whether to accept and believe the truth of Jesus Christ as presented in the Scriptures. To receive the truth and the love God offers is in keeping with its teachings, “This is love for God: to obey His commands” (1 John 5:3). Conversely, to know the truth and not obey it is to face the wrath of God: “The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of men who suppress the truth by their wickedness” (Romans 1:18). Frankly speaking, there is no more dangerous condition for a man than to know the truth and refuse to obey it. To do so is to harden the heart and make God’s condemnation sure.
When one knows the truth and refuses to obey it, he is subject to any lie, any deception, any untruth that man can conjure up. “For although they knew God, they neither glorified Him nor gave thanks to Him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened. Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools” (Romans 1:21-22). Paul goes on in the next few verses to describe the mindset and behaviors of those who disbelieve (see Romans 1:29-31). As a result of man’s foolishness and his arrogant disdain of the things of God, “God gave them over to a depraved mind, to do what ought not to be done” (Romans 1:28). And correspondingly, “Although they know God’s righteous decree that those who do such things deserve death, they not only continue to do these very things but also approve of those who practice them” (Romans 1:32).

“Pedophile” has reverberated throughout America. But beneath our anger and revulsion, a fundamental question pulsates: Are those who abuse their positions of trust to prey upon children-a category certainly not limited to those in religious orders-sick … or are they evil? PRIDE–the sin of Satan who wanted to be the equal of God with all his power–is also #1 on the list of the Seven Deadly Sins, followed by Greed, #2 lineup. Recall how Satan tempted Jesus with wealth and worldly power. Power and wealth are addictions. That’s why politicians often remain in office until into their 80’s, even into their 90’s if they don’t die first.
While the majority of the population on this planet is destined to burn in Hell (Rom. 8:5-8), there is yet a remnant called by God to share the good news (Rom. 8:12-17), bringing those who believe into the saving grace of God.
True followers of Christ must therefore continue to spread the salvation message while fortifying themselves against the coming onslaught of the Antichrist.
