Flying Spaghetti Monsterism (also known as Pastafarianism) is a “religion” created by a man named Bobby Henderson. Mr. Henderson created this satire in protest of the Kansas State Board of Education’s decision to teach intelligent design as an alternative to the theory of evolution. In essence, he was asking, “If foolish religious ideas like that of Intelligent Design have to be given equal time in high school biology classes, then why can’t other foolish religious ideas be taught alongside with it?” So, in protest, he made up a silly set of religious beliefs and demanded that they be given equal time in biology classes alongside the theories of evolution and Intelligent Design. His point seems to be that to teach Intelligent Design in schools is as absurd as teaching that the Flying Spaghetti Monster made the world and deceived scientists into believing evolution. (Note: Flying Spaghetti Monsterism is simply a new, and more entertaining, variation of Russell’s teapot and the Invisible Pink Unicorn.)

The idea that humans have this soul, or this spirit, or they have free will and no one knows what’s happening inside me so whatever I choose, whether it’s the election, or in the supermarket, this is my free will … that’s over.

Transhumanism is a social and philosophical movement involving the development of human enhancement through technology.¹ Essentially, it seeks to redefine what it means to be human, which is driven by artificial intelligence (AI). It does not mean that the global elite wants to turn you into robots, they only want to control your thoughts, emotions and physical body.

In early June 2022, Google engineer Blake Lemoine announced he was convinced that an AI chatbot program called LaMDA had achieved sentience, or self-aware consciousness.² Just days before he revealed this discovery, another AI expert predicted that virtual children could one day become commonplace and would solve the issue of overpopulation while meeting the very human need to procreate.³

Over the last several decades, the technocratic elite has set a course for mankind. The concepts of transhumanism and digitizing human life are part of The Great Reset agenda, which will not be complete until humanity is enslaved to an unelected few who run the world through algorithms and AI. In fact, with sentient AI, it may be manmade sentient computerized “beings” that will be running the show.

Harari, professor at Hebrew University of Jerusalem and a top adviser to Klaus Schwab, owner and chairman of the World Economic Forum (WEF) states in the video below:

By hacking organisms, elites may gain the power to reengineer the future of life itself because once you can hack something, you can usually also engineer it.⁴

Soon, he says, some corporations and governments will be able to “systematically hack all the people.” And, if they succeed in hacking life, he describes it as the “greatest revolution in biology since the beginning of life 4 billion years ago.

This absolute control will involve the selective breeding of physical bodies using artificial wombs rather than human beings. The first gene-edited babies were born in 2018,⁵ the result of a Chinese scientist’s use of CRISPR technology. Scientists have also developed an AI nanny robot to care for the embryos growing inside an artificial womb.⁶

To normal people, a future of transhumanist babies grown in artificial wombs with cloud-to-brain connectivity sounds more like a purposeless nightmare than the utopia that transhumanists attempt to portray it as. Schwab talks as though humanity has no choice in the matter.⁷

Let us also be clear. The future is not something that just happens. The future is built by us, by a powerful community like you in this room.

Mass Manipulation Was Phenomenally Successful

In the past decade, more people have begun using mobile devices, most in the form of smartphones. As a society, we’ve grown accustomed to instant information and sharing lives across social media platforms. The growth of the industry that began with computers and moved to handheld mobile devices, now boasts 97% of Americans owning a cell phone and 85% of those owning a smartphone.⁸

This is a significant increase from 35% when the first survey was done in 2011. Instant notification, fake fact-checkers and smart propaganda led to mass manipulation during the COVID-19-generated pandemic that was phenomenally successful. As I’ve written before, dress rehearsals for COVID included a 2017 Johns Hopkins Center of Health Security pandemic simulation called the SPARS Pandemic 2025-2028 scenario.⁹

The 2019 collaboration between the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Johns Hopkins and the WEF called Event 201was the last before COVID-19 struck in early 2020. These exercises detailed an outbreak of highly infectious coronavirus, during which social media censorship played a predominant role.

The plans were eerily played out across the world in 2020 which, thanks to social media companies and Google’s censoring of opposing viewpoints, led to a massive misunderstanding of the danger of the SARS-CoV-2 virus and the perpetuation of a lie that the vaccines were “safe and effective.”

Information has since revealed that online censorship was illegally directed by U.S. government officials including Dr. Anthony Fauci,¹⁰ who was recently deposed about his role and data from the CDC and the FDA show that the adverse effects from the vaccine are not safe and effective, but rather dangerous and life-threatening.¹¹

The culmination of censorship and false information led many down a path resulting in life-altering disabilities and even death. Strategies were used to discredit many physicians who spoke out against the propaganda, including Drs. Robert Malone, Michael Yeadon, and Pierre Khoury. Malone spoke out about mass formation psychosis in an episode of “The Joe Rogan Experience” December 31, 2021.¹²

By January 2, 2022, the term had peaked in search popularity after having been practically unheard of. While the term achieved greater exposure in 2022, Mattias Desmet, professor of clinical psychology at the University of Ghent in Belgium, has studied the phenomenon for many years and says it was first recognized over 100 years ago.

Simply put, those who are under the spell of mass formation psychosis focus obsessively on a failure that occurs in the normal world or a particular person, in this case, COVID-19. The focus of attention can effectively control the masses and lead to totalitarian thinking and, eventually, to totalitarian states. It’s clear from Google’s censorship that they do not want you to know about it, and what you do know will be filtered through fake fact-checking.

Ultimate Fusion of Mind and Machine Began to Help Impairments

The melding of mind and machine is called a brain-computer interface (BCI). Current use of this technology helps individuals who are paralyzed or those who have been locked in after a stroke achieve a hands-free experience. Patients can communicate by typing text with just their thoughts. The current use of BCI technology is to read brain neurons and not write to them.

Deep brain stimulation implants are also used for individuals with Parkinson’s disease to help control tremors and are being used to control mood. Although the primary use for these systems has been to help improve functionality in those who are impaired, as has been proven in the past many times over, scientists do not stop there.

The most aggressive developers want BCI systems to not only read, but also write over our minds. The WEF wants these commercial implants to allow you to access the cloud and for the cloud to access you. One such company is Synchron. Investors include Jeff Bezos and “the island-hopping “Vaxx King” Bill Gates,” as Joe Allen describes him.¹³

In 2021, the company received FDA approval to begin trials for its product, Stentrode. This is a wire mesh that is inserted into the jugular vein and manipulated into the brain’s blood vessels where it monitors your activity for intention.

Yet, while there are obvious benefits to helping individuals who are unable to communicate or move, the company’s CEO Tom Oxley envisions something different. In a press release on July 28th, 2021, he said,¹⁴ “Synchron’s north star is to achieve whole-brain data transfer. The blood vessels provide surgery-free access to all regions of the brain, and at scale.”

The Goal: You, Hardwired for Control

Neuralink is another company in the race to achieve what owner Elon Musk calls “whole brain interface so a generalized input /output device could literally interface with every aspect of your brain and in the short term could interface with any given section and solve a tremendous number of things.”¹⁵

While Musk’s recent actions after taking over Twitter indicate that he is against censorship,¹⁶ he obviously is also interested in BCI technology that can, as he puts it, be linked to a general input and output device in your brain.

Each of these BCI devices merges man with AI for what some call intellectual enhancement. Harvard nanotechnologist Charles Lieber, along with his colleagues, published a 2015 article in Nature Nanotechnology,¹⁷ in which he describes syringe injectable nanoscale computers that could interface with your neurons at a microscopic level, essentially creating tissue that can communicate with a computer.

In an interview with Smithsonian Magazine,¹⁸ Lieber said, “We’re trying to blur the distinction between electronic circuits and neural circuits.” While describing the product, he said it is a “hundred thousand times more flexible than other implantable electronics.”

Also speaking to Smithsonian Magazine, one Rice University researcher commented, “This could make some inroads to a brain interface for consumers. Plugging your computer into your brain becomes a lot more palatable if all you need to do is inject something.”

Some, like Silicon Valley investor Peter Thiel, justify human AI enhancement by saying it is crucial to accept the inevitability of progress. In 2015, he wrote an essay entitled “Against Edenism,”¹⁹ in which he takes an almost god-like status, citing Genesis and Revelation, writing “The future will look very different from the past.” and “The Garden of Paradise will culminate in the City of Heaven.”

Allen writes that Theil describes a technocratic “City of God” in which there are wall-to-wall surveillance grids, military-grade artificial intelligence, genetic engineering and mass data mining. The technocratic elite are slowly creating a public consciousness of BCI devices, attempting to implant the idea in the reader’s/watcher’s mind so those who are most influenced by the propaganda will be the first to step up and try a chip.

Klaus Schwab’s Training Has Penetrated World Governments

Schwab begins speaking at minute [4:41] in this eight-minute compilation of speeches from the WEF’s top advisor Dr. Yuval Harari and founder and chairman of the WEF, Klaus Schwab. During one interview in the video, Schwab defines what the Fourth Industrial Revolution ultimately means.

The Fourth Industrial Revolution doesn’t change what you are doing, it changes you if you take a genetic editing, just as an example. It is you who are changed. And of course, it has a big impact on your identity.

Of course, to accomplish all that Schwab and the WEF have planned for the future of the planet Earth, there must be people strategically placed in governments around the world to ensure that the plans are carried out. As the WEF publicized in early May 2022, “The world’s top leaders from politics, business, civil society, academia, media and the arts are set to descend on the Swiss mountain village of Davos in May 2022.”²⁰

According to the website, more than 50 heads of state and government were expected to join Davos 2022, as well as 300 government representatives and over 1,250 representatives from the private sector. This included individuals such as the commissioner for jobs and social rights for the European Commission, the president of the European Central Bank, the governor of the Central Bank of France and the minister of information and technology from India.

The United States sent a 25-person contingent, including the secretary of commerce, congressmen from Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, California, Missouri and Minnesota, the governor of Indiana and senators from Vermont, New Jersey, Mississippi, Texas and Colorado. Former U.S. Vice President Al Gore also planned to be in attendance. During one interview in the video above, Schwab gives a chilling account of how he has planned to influence world leaders and governments.

I have to say that when we mention our names like Merkel, even Vladimir Putin and so on, they have all been young global leaders of the World Economic Forum. But what we are really proud of now is the young generation, like Prime Minister Trudeau, the president of Argentina, and so on.

So, we penetrate the cabinets. Yesterday I was at a reception for Prime Minister Trudeau, and I know that half of his cabinet or even more than half, are for our … are actually young global leaders of the world economic forum. It’s true in Argentina, it’s true in France.

Transhumanism Is Aiming for Your Free Will

In February 2022,²¹ Kyle Kemper, half-brother to Trudeau, gave an interview and was asked why he thought his sibling refused to talk to the truckers. During the interview, his half-brother called him a “weak leader” and said that “he is not speaking from his heart.” He was quoted, saying:

Justin is the leader of the Liberal Party, and everything that’s coming out of his mouth right now is written. All of his tweets are being produced by a team. He is the face and the lead spokesperson for the Canadian government but the policy and the initiatives that are driving it, and are driving this narrative which he continues to push, which in my opinion, is on the side of anti-Canadian and anti-freedom, are coming down from the higher-ups.

Kemper characterized the decision-making in Canada as coming down from “the higher-ups.” He went on to say those higher-ups were globalist groups like The World Economic Forum, the Council on Foreign Relations, and the Bilderberg Group.

This group is less well known, but includes national leaders, political power brokers, heads of powerful private companies and European royalty.²² According to an article in The Globe and Mail published in 2006, the Bilderberg Group first met in 1954 and included about 130 of the world’s most powerful and wealthiest people.

Meetings held by silent groups of powerful individuals like the Bilderberg group, or more public acknowledgment of a drive toward transhumanism by the WEF, are designed to control societies and grow wealth for the technocratic elite. Harari gives you a glimpse into the future that the WEF is planning for the world across several clips in the video above.²³

We humans should get used to the idea that we are no longer mysterious souls. We are now hackable animals … By hacking organisms, elites may gain the power to re-engineer the future of life itself … Science is replacing evolution by natural selection with evolution by intelligent design.

But not the intelligent design of some god above the clouds, but our intelligent design. And the intelligent design of our clouds, the IBM cloud, the Microsoft Cloud … After 4 billion years, science may enable life to break out into the realm of inorganic life.

Harari then asks the question, [2:50] “Does the data about my DNA, my brain, my body, my life, does it belong to me or a corporation or to the government or perhaps to the human collective?”

While some people are blinded by the idea that merging man and machine could improve performance, make you smarter or make you live longer, the reality of the transhumanist movement is succinctly described by Harari:²⁴

Satan Soldier Biden’s “Executive Order on Advancing Biotechnology and Biomanufacturing Innovation for a Sustainable, Safe and Secure American Bioeconomy” establishes a fast-tracked pipeline of mRNA shots and other gene therapies that will further the transhumanist agenda.

On Sept. 12, President Biden signed the “Executive Order on Advancing Biotechnology and Biomanufacturing Innovation for a Sustainable, Safe and Secure American Bioeconomy.”

Specified in that order is the development of genetic engineering technologies and techniques “to be able to write circuitry for cells and predictably program biology in the same way in which we write software and program computers,” as well as genetic technologies to “unlock the power of biological data” using “computing tools and artificial intelligence.”

Additionally, “obstacles for commercialization” will be reduced “so that innovative technologies and products can reach markets faster.”

What we have here is, in a nutshell, the creation of a fast-tracked mRNA pipeline.

When, in June, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) quietly implemented a “Future Framework” scheme to deliver reformulated COVID-19 boosters without additional testing, I predicted that this “no testing required” formula would spread beyond COVID-19 shots.

And, according to this executive order, that’s exactly what’s about to happen.

In early September, the FDA also put out medically false and misleading COVID-19 booster campaign messages that prove we’ve officially entered the era of transhumanism:

“It’s time to install that update! #UpdateYourAntibodies with a new #COVID19 booster.

“Don’t be shocked! You can now #RechargeYourImmunity with an updated #COVID19 booster.”

Is this the death knell to allopathic medicine?

Historically, gene therapies have had to jump through extra hoops, which is why so few exist on the market. As of 2021, there were 20 gene therapies commercially available.

The world’s first gene therapy trial didn’t begin until 1990, so this is still a very new field.

The entire gene therapy field actually collapsed overnight in 1999, when a teenage trial participant died from side effects.

An FDA investigation concluded research had moved too fast and that safety “had not been put first.”

Progress, thanks to increased caution, slowed from there on.

Such caution is now being thrown to the wind, and it’s not difficult to predict there will be disastrous ramifications.

Millions will die from poorly tested gene therapies and, eventually, medical research and allopathic medicine will both cease to exist, as survivors vow to have nothing to do with that murderous cabal ever again.

The only way they might be able to keep going is if they are in control of people’s brain function and/or able to force drugs under threat of death, or worse — neither of which is impossible at this point, shockingly enough.

In the meantime, we’re looking at a cornucopia of mRNA shots coming our way.

mRNA flu shots are in the works

Not surprisingly, mRNA flu shots are in the works. While we probably won’t see mRNA flu shots during the 2022/2023 winter season, there’s every reason to expect they’ll be rolled out next year.

On Sept. 14, Pfizer initiated a Phase 3 study, which will test a quadrivalent mRNA-based flu shot on 25,000 American adults.

Pfizer is also exploring mRNA technology that uses self-amplifying RNA for potential use in the future.

Moderna began its Phase 3 mRNA flu jab trial in early June. It’s also working on mRNA shots for the respiratory syncytial virus and cytomegalovirus, which is in the herpes family, as well as a SARS-CoV-2-influenza combination shot.

Ultimately, Moderna wants to create an annual mRNA shot that covers all of the top 10 viruses that result in hospitalizations each year.

Its current flu jab candidate, mRNA-1010, encodes for the hemagglutinin, or HA, glycoproteins of four different influenza strains, including influenza A/H1N1, A/H3N2, influenza B/Yamagata and B/Victoria.

According to Moderna:

“HA is a major influenza surface glycoprotein that is considered an important target to generate broad protection against influenza and is the primary target of currently available influenza vaccines.”

The transhumanist agenda

Over the past three years, I’ve written several articles exploring the transhumanist agenda, which all these mRNA shots and genetic technologies are part and parcel of.

Basically, the goal of the transhumanist movement is to transcend biology through technology and to meld human biology with technology and artificial intelligence.

In September 2020, I posted a video with Dr. Carrie Madej (below), in which she suggested we were standing at the crossroads of transhumanism, thanks to the fast-approaching release of mRNA COVID-19 shots.

Since these shots are designed to manipulate your biology, they have the potential to also alter the biology of the entire human race.

Nearly two years later, we still don’t know the extent to which they might be doing that, yet more fast-tracked and untested gene therapies are on the way.

One reason why it’s important to know for certain whether synthetic RNA ends up creating permanent changes in the genome is because synthetic genes are patented.

If they cause permanent changes, humans will contain patented genes, and that brings up very serious questions, seeing how patents have owners and owners have patent rights.

U.S. defense department aims to create human cyborgs

The hydrogel used to preserve the mRNA can also contain nanobots to create a bioelectric interface capable of connecting to a smartphone or other interface.

Novel technologies that measure biological data, such as blood sugar, are based on this. Such technologies will, of course, have immediate ramifications for our privacy.

Who will collect and have access to all this data? Who will be responsible for protecting it? How will it be used?

Also, if your cellphone can receive information from your body, what information can your body receive from it, or from other sources? Could transmissions affect your mood? Your behavior? Your physical function? Your thoughts or memories?

So far, it doesn’t appear as though the COVID-19 shots have these kinds of capabilities built-in, but we do know for a fact that militaries around the world are exploring and working toward such capabilities. In fact, it’s an arms race in its own right.

In his Sept. 14, Substack article, “Human Cyborgs Are Just the Beginning,” Dr. Robert Malone reviewed several of those plans.

Certain report titles alone tell the story, such as the U.S. Department of Defense (DOD) Biotechnologies for Health and Human Performance Council’s report, “Cyborg Soldier 2050: Human/Machine Fusion and the Implications for the Future of the DOD.”

It doesn’t leave a whole lot to the imagination, does it?

According to the assessment abstract:

“The primary objective of this effort was to forecast and evaluate the military implications of machines that are physically integrated with the human body to augment and enhance human performance over the next 30 years.

“This report summarizes this assessment and findings; identifies four potential military-use cases for new technologies in this area; and assesses their impact upon the DOD organizational structure, warfighter doctrine and tactics, and interoperability with U.S. allies and civil society.”

Human augmentation technologies deemed technically feasible by 2050 at the latest include ocular enhancements to improve sight and situational awareness, optogenetic bodysuits to restore or improve muscular strength and control, auditory enhancements and neural enhancement of the brain for two-way data transfers and brain-to-brain communication.

Changing what it means to be human

In “The Plan to Turn You Into a Genetically Edited Cyborg,” I covered another shockingly dystopian report by the U.K. Ministry of Defense and the German Bundeswehr Office for Defense Planning, published in May 2021.

That report, “Human Augmentation — The Dawn of a New Paradigm, a Strategic Implications Project,” reviews the scientific goals of the U.K. and German defense ministries, and they basically mirror that of the U.S. DOD.

On page 12 of the report, the concept of the human body as a platform is described, and how various parts of the human platform can be augmented.

For example:

• Physical performance such as strength, dexterity, speed and endurance can be enhanced, as well as physical senses. One example given is gene editing for enhanced sight.
• Psychological performance such as cognition, emotion and motivation can be influenced to activate and direct desired behavior. Examples of cognitive augmentation include improving memory, attention, alertness, creativity, understanding, decision-making, intelligence and vigilance.
• Social performance — “The ability to perceive oneself as part of a group and the readiness to act as part of the team” — can be influenced. Communication skills, collaboration and trust are also included here.

They list several different ways to influence the physical, psychological and social performance of the “human platform,” including genetics (germ line and somatic modification), synthetic biology, invasive (internal) and noninvasive (external) brain interfaces, passive and powered exoskeletons, drugs and nanotechnology, neurostimulation, augmented reality technologies such as external holograms or glasses with built-in artificial intelligence and sensory augmentation technologies such as external sensors or implants.

As noted in this report, “Human augmentation has the potential to … change the meaning of what it means to be a human.” This is precisely what Klaus Schwab, founder and executive chairman of the World Economic Forum (WEF), has stated is the goal of The Fourth Industrial Revolution.

WEF has been at the center of global affairs for more than 40 years, and if you take the time to dive into WEF’s Fourth Industrial Revolution material, you realize that it’s all about transhumanism.

It’s about the merger of man and machine.

This is a dystopian future that WEF and its global allies are actively trying to implement, whether humanity at large agrees with it or not.

Importantly, the “Human Augmentation” report readily admits that human augmentation can “directly enhance behavior.”

And, if you think these reports are just brain fodder for geeks in uniforms, think again.

The U.K. Defense and Security Accelerator is currently, right now, accepting proposals for human augmentation technologies such as those listed above.

Grants of 70,000 euros ($74,000), will be given to proposals that can provide proof of concept.

We’re already being programmed to accept transhumanism

Both the DOD’s “Cyborg Soldier” report and the British/German “Human Augmentation” reports discuss the fact that human augmentation will inevitably widen already existing disparities, inequalities and inequities, and therefore, “efforts should be undertaken to reverse negative cultural narratives of enhancement technologies.”

In other words, don’t let people come to the conclusion that human cyborgs are a bad idea, because at worst that might prevent their development, and at best, it’ll pitch regular people against the augmented elite, making their efforts to rule the plebs more difficult.

As noted by Malone, “Once again, we are being played before we even know what the playing field looks like.”

Disturbingly, considering how nontransparent governments have been so far, it’s not inconceivable that technologies capable of influencing thoughts and behaviors would be used on populations without informing anyone, which makes the list of potential risks one takes with each new mRNA injection even longer than it already is.

But we don’t need to be genetically re-engineered or have nanobots introduced into our brains to be at risk of outside manipulation. That’s already happening through noninvasive means.

Control capabilities go far beyond Orwell’s ‘1984’ vision

In a November 2019 interview with CNN, history professor Yuval Noah Harari, a Klaus Schwab disciple, stated that humans are already “hackable,” meaning the technology exists by which a company or government can know you better than you know yourself, and this knowledge can be used for both good and ill.

According to Harari, the available capabilities already go far beyond Orwell’s “1984” authoritarian vision, and it’s only going to become more powerful from here.

He predicted that algorithms will increasingly be used to make decisions that historically have been made by humans, either yourself or someone else, including whether or not you’ll be hired for a particular job, whether you’ll be granted a loan, what scholastic curriculum you will follow and even whom you will marry.

For example, there are even ongoing attempts to upload the human mind into the cloud, ultimately creating a form of “digital hive mind” where everyone communicates via “Wi-Fi telepathy.”

This, despite the fact we still do not fully understand what “the mind” actually is, or where it’s located.

Final thoughts

I don’t know what it will take to prevent the dystopian post-human world envisioned by Schwab and his technocratic minions, but I suspect education would be a cornerstone of such an endeavor.

In order for there to be a resistance, enough people need to be aware of what the plan is, and where we’re actually being led with all these novel therapies and inventions.

In the shorter term, it’s crucial to realize that the fast-tracking of “genetic engineering technologies and techniques to be able to write circuitry for cells and predictably program biology in the same way in which we write software and program computers” means they’re going to cut corners.

Loads of them.

Testing is basically going to be done on the population at large, just as they’ve done with the COVID-19 jabs.

The results of such experimentation are relatively predictable. People will be seriously injured and many will die.

So, think long and hard before you agree to take any of these forthcoming gene therapies.

The line of reasoning for Flying Spaghetti Monsterism seems to be that
1. There is no evidence for the existence of the Judeo-Christian God.
2. There is no evidence for the existence of the Flying Spaghetti Monster.
3. Therefore, belief in the Judeo-Christian God and belief in the Flying Spaghetti Monster are on equal epistemic grounds.

There are more problems with this thinking than can be covered in this article. However, some responses should given.

Premise 1 is false. It is not the case that “there is no evidence for the existence of the Judeo-Christian God.” Mr. Henderson may not accept the evidence for the existence of the Judeo-Christian God, but he does not offer much by way of demonstrating that the classical and contemporary arguments for God’s existence are false. Even if he adequately refuted several arguments given by theists for the belief in God, he would still not be justified in saying that “there is NO evidence for the existence of God.” In fact, this comment smacks of an a priori rejection (a rejection of the evidence before the evidence is even given) of the notion that evidence may be given for the existence of God.

Many arguments have been given for the existence of God. For example, there are cosmological arguments (arguments for a first cause), teleological arguments (arguments for a Grand Designer), moral arguments (arguments for a Moral Lawgiver), and others. Anyone who is serious about the question of God must deal with these arguments charitably and thoroughly before dogmatically rejecting belief in God. To ignorantly reject the existence of God “because I can’t think of any good reasons to believe in God” is not in keeping with the most influential thinkers in Western civilization. Almost all major philosophers and thinkers have dealt with the existence of God, and most of them accepted some form of belief in a God. A large number of philosophers have argued for their belief in the existence of God. It is a small minority of thinkers who have denied the existence of God.

NOTE: This is not advocating the "appeal to the people" fallacy (argumentum ad populum). The argument is not that belief in God is true BECAUSE so many people believe that God exists. Rather, it is simply an irrefutable fact that many brilliant minds have pondered the God question and come to the conclusion that He does, in fact, exist. This fact, while it doesn’t prove that God exists, should prompt us to deal with the question of God’s existence with seriousness and intellectual honesty.

In contrast with the serious issue of God’s existence, Flying Spaghetti Monsterism is known to be made up. Several contrasts between belief in God and belief in the Flying Spaghetti Monster are listed below:

Belief in God

(1) Prevalent among all peoples of all times. Atheism is very rare; even atheists admit this.
(2) There are many sophisticated philosophical arguments for God’s existence.
(3) The Christian God is a coherent explanation of why something exists rather than nothing, why logic is prescriptive and universal, why morality is objective, and why religion is ubiquitous.
(4) Belief in God is rationally satisfying.

Belief in Flying Spaghetti Monsterism

(1) Believed by no one. Even the so-called advocates of the FSM do not really believe that it exists.

(2) There are no technical philosophical arguments for the FSM. Actually, there are no technical arguments of any kind for the FSM.

(3) Even those who sarcastically espouse that the FSM exists don’t really believe that the FSM exists, nor do they think that the FSM is a coherent explanation for finite contingent being, logic, morality, beauty, etc.

(4) No one really believes in the FSM, but even if they did, it would not be rationally satisfying.

While there are some atheists who take theistic arguments seriously, many atheists do not take the time to seriously consider these arguments. This fact may be clearly seen in popular atheist texts (e.g., The Atheist Debater’s Handbook and The God Delusion). These texts refute weak and incomplete arguments for theism and suppose that they have refuted the actual, fully reasoned arguments that Christian philosophers and theologians give. This is an intellectually dishonest practice.

In short, the difference between belief in God and belief in Flying Spaghetti Monsterism is this:

Belief in God is rational and supported by good reasons, and belief in the Flying Spaghetti Monster is irrational and not supported by any good reasons. Bobby Henderson simply begs the question (commits a logical fallacy) when he says that there are no good reasons for belief in God. Despite his claim to the contrary, Christianity is a rationally defensible religion. There are difficult questions that we must ask ourselves as Christians, but the fact that there are difficult questions is not grounds for dismissing Christianity. As believers, our pursuit of answers to our own deep-seated spiritual questions draws us further into the intellectual richness of the Christian faith.
