John 2:23-25 23 Now while he was in Jerusalem at the Passover Feast, many people saw the miraculous signs he was doing and believed in his name. 24 But Jesus would not entrust himself to them, for he knew all men. 25 He did not need man's testimony about man, for he knew what was in a man.

This Passover celebration marked the beginning of Jesus' public ministry. He went there annually before, but now the Holy Spirit was telling him to perform miracles to back up his words. The Jews thought a prophet's credibility could be established by miracles. Some of the signs of Jesus' identity as the Messiah were miracles that no ordinary prophet could perform.

Despite the fact that many of the people had faith in Him, Jesus did not commit or entrust himself to them. He had a firm grasp on the human condition. Since the Holy Spirit had not yet been released, Jesus knew that men would be self-absorbed and untrustworthy. Those who put their faith in mortals incur a curse (Jeremiah 17:5), according to the Old Testament. Jesus' priorities were set by the Holy Spirit, not by mortal beings. He gave his life to God alone, but he had hope for humanity because he saw God's image in every person.

Jesus didn't have to find out the hard way that people are generally bad at heart. As soon as he gained awareness, he understood that he was the incarnate Son of God. After taking on human form, He humbled Himself and submitted to the Father. Bible verse: (Philippians 2:8) He is cognizant of who we really are.

This is a lesson we must learn. Men, even the most well-meaning ones, are still men. True men of spirit can regress at times. Only in God should we put our faith and hope. While brotherly love, fellowship, and cooperation are all important, our ultimate allegiance is to the Father. Jesus is the leader of the church and the only one who can give us direction. Above all other human direction, plans, and schemes, we must submit to Him.

If you want to know a man, you need to know me. To keep my body in subjection to the will of God, I must imitate the Apostle Paul and "die" every day (1 Corinthians 15:31). Learning about the human psyche is crucial. It protects our hearts from making men into idols and keeps our gaze fixed on God. It's meant to keep us reliant on the Lord, too.

Take into account: Know thyself. Realize that people are complex.

The Great Tribulation

It is our belief that the Great Tribulation referred to in the New Testament Book of Revelation (chapters 6-11) is unfolding before our eyes. In the near future, we will devote the "Tribulation" tab on our "Trending" menu to this emerging reality. As people continue to unplug from mainstream media, our commitment is to present the truth and encourage our audience to understand current events from a Biblical perspective. The Watchman

In the Bible, the Watchman is responsible for keeping watch and warning others of potential danger or impending judgment. The role is mentioned several times in the Old Testament, particularly in the book of Ezekiel. In Ezekiel 33:6, God says to the prophet Ezekiel, "But if the watchman sees the sword coming and does not blow the trumpet, so that the people are not warned, and the sword comes and takes any one of them, that person is taken away in his iniquity, but his blood I will require at the watchman's hand."
