LIVING SOUL OR LIVING SPIRIT IS WHAT MAKES ALL THE DIFFERENCE

When Adam was made God said he "became a living soul". Strong's defines a living soul, nephesh in Hebrew, as a living breathing creature. When Paul wrote about what Adam was when he was made he gleaned this truth from what he read in this Genesis account.

And in 1Cor.15:45,46 he said Adam was a living soul. And that he was not spiritual, but only natural just like the animals, birds, and creeping things when he was made. And he pointed out the difference between his being only natural, with the living spirit that Jesus was when He was made to come as a man. Living referring to Jesus' body. And spirit referring to His Spirit.

Paul could not have been referring to Jesus' body as spiritual. Because Heb.2:14 says His body was the same flesh and blood that all men have. And Paul defines the natural man as flesh and blood in 1Cor.15:50. And in 1Cor.2:14 as one who can not perceive the things of the Spirit. So this was Adam when he was made according to what the Bible plainly says. No assumptions. No conjecture. Just the plain literal statements from God and Paul.

But, many have been taught to believe that when Adam was made he was a super spiritual  immortal being who had perfect fellowship with his Creator. But, as we can see from what God and Paul said this is absolutely false.

Many have been taught to believe that when Adam ate the fruit he fell from a super spiritual pinnacle of creation to become a lesser being whose choices were now governed by a sin nature. So that it became impossible for man not to sin. And that this "curse" was passed on to the rest of mankind through procreation. But, as we see here from God and Paul this too is absolutely false.

But, it's a powerful force men deal with when they are told they have been deceived.

So they will usually end up trying to defend an indefensible position. Even one that works out to be the opposite from what the Bible actually says. And even when all they have is assumptions, conjecture, and implications that they manufacture from vague references made in the Bible. Assumptions that we can see fly in the face of the clear and plain language of scripture that says plainly that Adam was not spiritual, but only natural when God made him. And that he was a living soul, not a living spirit when he was made.

As a natural man when Adam ate the fruit from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil we see that "his eyes were opened and he knew that he was naked". Many people have been taught to believe this is a bad thing. That satan lied to Adam when he told them they would become like God.

But, the Bible does not say this is a bad thing. Once again many people have only assumed this. Because in fact, as we read in Gen.3:22 it was the first thing that happened that showed Adam had become more like God, or "as one of us to know good and evil." To be more like God is certainly not a bad thing. See how satan will twist the scriptures if we are not careful how we hear what we hear? He takes the skin of the truth, which in this case was to tell them they will become as Gods. And stuff it with a great big lie. In this case saying they would not die.

Many think that when Rom.5:12 confirms the Genesis account saying that death passed to all men this was a bad thing. Some even say it is a curse on man that happened as punishment by Adam's sin being imputed to him and the rest of mankind. But, this is not a Biblical explanation for why this happened.

In fact, when we read the very next verse, Rom.5:13, we see that Adam's sin was not imputed to him or to anyone else. And in vs.14 Paul says that even though death did not come as a punishment for Adam's sin death still reigned. Showing that death was not a punishment or a consequence for sin. But, that in reality it was a necessary step in God's plan to bring man to a place where he can choose of his own God given free will to know and love God and have eternal life.

Because the Bible says it was God's plan from before He made the world that Jesus would come. And the only way for that to happen was for Adam to eat the fruit and be sent from the garden so he could not eat from the tree of life. Because until he ate the fruit he had no knowledge of good and evil. And without that knowledge he was not equipped for making choices for which he could be held accountable.

The proof of this comes from Deut.1:39 where it says "and your children, which in that day had no knowledge between good and evil, they shall go in thither, and unto them will I give it, and they shall possess it." And from Luke18:15-17 where Jesus said, "Suffer little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God."

So it is because these have not the knowledge of good and evil that they are of the kingdom of God. Because without that knowledge they are not held accountable by God for their choices whether good or bad. Because only those who can choose to believe in Jesus or not to believe in Jesus with full knowledge of good and evil are held accountable for that choice.

So how can death be a good thing you might be asking. I mean after all this is what happened to Adam and the rest of us after he sinned, right? Here is the answer to your query.

Death is a blessing because when a man comes to a place where he will consider his own mortality he must think of things bigger than himself. He must because he knows that he possesses no power in and of himself to change this. And it is when he looks for the answer to "Is this all there is" that he can find God.

Because God has made sure that he can find Him by leaving us the word of God, the Bible, that explains how God worked all through history to bring man into a freely chosen and freely given relationship and fellowship with Him. Which according to John17:3 is eternal life. And the answer to "Is this all there is".

This is how death is a good thing. Even a necessary thing. Because without it Adam would still be in the garden unequipped to know his Creator in any more than a natural way. Living forever as long as he ate from the tree of life. But, this way is not a way that Jesus said will bring man into a true worship of God. Because He said that only those who are spiritual can worship God because God is a Spirit. And Paul tells us plainly that Adam was not spirit when God made him.

So if you have been led to believe that man began as a spiritual being with perfect spiritual understanding you have been taught to believe what is actually the opposite from what the Bible says. And the main theology that has been used to accomplish this opposite belief system is the doctrine of original sin and sin nature.

This has been Satan's preferred method of getting people to reject Jesus. By thinking they have accepted Him by getting them to trust in a false Jesus. One whose sacrifice is described as the sacrifices pagans made to Moloch. A sacrifice that was the torturous and bloody death of the innocent for the purpose of appeasing God's wrath.

But, the Bible tells us plainly that Jesus' sacrifice served no such purpose. But, was instead only necessary to bring an end to the Old Testament by taking away their sins under the law(Heb.9:15). And to give power to the New Testament where men are made children of God by being born of God to have a spirit in them now that was never there before as Jesus said in John3:1-8.

Because the Bible teaches us that man began as a natural being with no spiritual part in him. With the only difference between him and the animals being that he was made to look like God. And to have free will and dominion over the earth and every moving thing as Gen.1:26-28 says.

And that when he would freely choose to eat from the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil he would receive a very crucial piece of the puzzle for him to be placed on a path to eternal life and immortality. A life in perfect intimate spiritual fellowship with his Creator.

This is why when you read the meaning of the names of the men from Adam to Noah we see this plan as God intended it to be worked out. Those names brought together in a sentence says, "Man (is) appointed mortal sorrow; (but) the Blessed God shall come down teaching (that) His death shall bring (the) despairing rest." So Jesus' death was necessary to bring man into God's rest.

This is a life that was planned for him since before God made the world. But, that would only be made possible by his choosing by his own God given free will to love his Creator in return for the love he has been shown. A choice only possible after he would have the knowledge of good and evil.

A love God had for us that made Peter say in 2Peter3:9, "The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance."

God has shown us this love by joining with all of mankind in our mortality. To show us who He is and His immense love for us. To do this He died on the cross to become the final once for all sacrifice for sins under the law to bring an end to the law for Israel. And He made it possible for both Gentiles and Israel to become the "one new man" through a New Covenant both would choose to come into with God. Being then made the "new creation" of 2Cor.5:17.

And by raising from the dead Jesus showed us His power by defeating death on our behalf. So that when we will trust in Him and confess Him as our Lord we will join with Him in eternal life by the spirit birth that makes us children of God. And in immortality because He has promised us a new body when we shed these old earth suits that are all just like the one God gave Adam when he was made.

So there you have it. The answer to "is this all there is". During the course of this message we have found that

1- Gen.2:7 says Adam became a living soul when God made him. Not a living spirit as Paul says Jesus was when He came as a man. 1Cor.15:45,46.

2- We have found that in John3:1-8 Jesus said that the reason men must be born again is because when we are born from our mother's womb we are only flesh and blood. And in 1Cor.15:50 Paul said "flesh and blood can not inherit the kingdom of God". Not because flesh and blood is evil. But, because it is not spirit.

3- We have found that you can interpret vague statements about spirituality in different ways. But, that the only way to interpret them correctly is when they agree with the concrete scriptures like Gen.2:7, John3:1-8, and 1Cor.15:45-48 that speak unambiguously about the natural flesh and the spirit. And if our interpretation does not agree with these concrete statements we are in error.

So I'm asking you to please, if you have fashioned your beliefs around the doctrine of original sin and sin nature, rethink your beliefs about this. Rethink your beliefs about Adam and Jesus. And do as Paul said in 2Cor.13:5 by examining yourself to see whether you be in the faith. And come out of the harlot so you will not partake in her sins and plagues.

Because when you do you will find that everything I have written here and shared in all my videos is the truth. Which means there is no such thing as a sin nature. And there is no such thing as Adam falling from grace. And there is no such thing as a man having a spirit from conception.

This mortal life is not all there is. John5:28,29 tells us that all men have an immortal body waiting for them. The only question that remains is where that immortal body will spend eternity. Will it be with the Creator who loves us and gave His life for us? Or will it be in a lake that burns with fire?

The choice is yours. God has already done all that is needed for you to live in heaven with Him for all eternity by conquering death for you. Will you receive His gift of eternal life and immortality? Or remain under death's power and be separated from Him for eternity? Seems like a no brainer to me. But, the choice is yours to make.

If you will confess Jesus is Lord. And will believe in His resurrection that conquered death for you. Then you will be saved. Do this and you will be made His child. Do this and you will be heir to His kingdom. Do this and you will have eternal life.
